Terms of Service
The agreement between you and MobContact. These terms became effective on 11 September 2026 and replace all previous versions.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and the operator of MobContact ("we", "us"), contactable at [email protected]. The registered legal entity and address are published at [email protected], which is the contact point for every request and complaint under these terms.
By installing the app, opening the web version, or looking up a number, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What the service does
MobContact identifies incoming callers and lets you look up phone numbers, drawing on a database of number-to-name associations contributed by users and on reports of nuisance and fraudulent numbers.
Results are indicative, not authoritative. A name comes from what other people saved, so it can be out of date, wrong, or a nickname. Do not rely on MobContact as proof of anybody's identity.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use MobContact for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
4. Your account and your number
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been misused.
5. Acceptable use
You may use MobContact to find out who is calling you and to check numbers you have a genuine reason to check. You may not:
- use it to stalk, harass, intimidate, dox or profile any person;
- run bulk or automated lookups, scrape the service, or resell its results;
- use it to build a competing or derivative database;
- use it for credit, insurance, employment, tenancy or any other decision about a person that the law regulates;
- submit names or tags that are abusive, defamatory or deliberately false;
- circumvent rate limits, access controls or unlisting requests;
- use it where doing so would breach the law that applies to you.
We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of this section, and serious misuse may be reported to the authorities.
6. Contributed address books
If you grant contacts permission, you allow us to process the name-and-number pairs in your address book as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you are entitled to share that information. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings; withdrawal stops further contribution but does not by itself remove entries already contributed - use the unlisting route for that.
7. Other people's numbers
Anyone can ask for their number to stop resolving, whether or not they use MobContact, and we act on that request without requiring a reason. You accept that a number you could look up yesterday may legitimately return nothing today.
8. Plans, payment and renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown at purchase and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel in the app before the period ends to stop the next charge; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you keep the free tier afterwards.
We may change prices, and will give notice before a change applies to your renewal. Where your local law grants a statutory withdrawal or refund right, that right applies and nothing here limits it.
9. Availability
We aim to keep MobContact available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of a material reduction where we can.
10. Intellectual property
The software, brand and interface are ours. You get a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, decompile or redistribute it except where that restriction is unenforceable under the law that applies to you.
11. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from reliance on a lookup result.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded - including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud. Where liability can be limited, ours is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using MobContact at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if continuing would expose us or other users to material risk. Sections 10, 11 and 14 survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give notice in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
Before starting proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] - most disputes are resolved faster that way.
15. General
If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them as part of a transfer of the business, with notice to you. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us.
